Sat is a Sanskrit word meaning “truth” or “what is real.”

Sang is a Sanskrit word that is short for “sangha” meaning spiritual company,

or one’s spiritual “tribe.”

Together, the term means something like “spiritual communion.”

In the Gospels, Jesus says “When two or more are gathered in my name, I am there.”

Satsang is an invitation to be held lovingly in sacred space, to ask questions and receive guidance and comfort, to sit in silence, or whatever is called for in the moment.
